Arlington, VA – Bean Kinney & Korman recently represented E.F. Johnson Company in a $20M bid protest and lawsuit in Frederick County, Virginia.
E.F. Johnson, a wholly owned subsidiary of JVCKenwood Holdings, Inc., provides modern, turnkey critical communications systems and solutions for mission-critical projects and endeavors. E.F. Johnson was the awardee of a Virginia Public Procurement Act contract for the construction and implementation of a first responder communications system throughout Frederick County. L3Harris Technologies, Inc., protested the award and subsequently filed suit in the Circuit Court for Frederick County.
BKK partner Richard Kelley, along with partner Raighne Delaney and associate Jonathan Harrison, defended the award by intervening into the lawsuit and prevailing on summary judgment. The entire lawsuit, from the filing of the complaint to the Court’s execution of the final order, took less than two months.
