On June 12, 2021, the Arlington County Board approved multiple amendments to the Red Top Cab multifamily residential project. As proposed by Trammell Crow Residential and The Shooshan Company, the County Board approved revisions to the building design that increase the number of residential units onsite, create universal access improvements, and that reduces onsite parking. This is the second parking reduction approved for the project.
In this case, the applicants created a unique solution to mitigate onsite parking by adding tandem spaces within the underground garage. In addition, the County Board approved an amendment to the Clarendon Revitalization District’s regulating heights map to achieve the proposal.
Matt Roberts shepherded the application and heights map amendment through the community outreach effort and Arlington County’s review and approval process.
