Arlington, VA — Bean, Kinney & Korman announced today that Shareholder Jonathan Kinney has been recognized by Northern Virginia Magazine as a Northern Virginian of the Year for his work on affordable housing.
“For nearly four decades, Jon has been leading initiatives to make housing affordable to those who contribute so much to our community, but oftentimes are not able to afford to live where they work,” said Bean, Kinney & Korman’s Managing Shareholder Leo Fisher. “Jon is very deserving of this honor from Northern Virginia Magazine, and the firm is very proud of him and his efforts on affordable housing.”
Jon is a widely recognized land use attorney with over 35 years of experience. He provides legal counsel for housing developments throughout Arlington County and Northern Virginia, as well as volunteers with and provides pro bono work for several organizations including group home provider, Community Residences; Clarendon Alliance, a Clarendon-based partnership of small business and farmers markets; and the Arlington Community Foundation, a scholarship and endowment fund. Jon also serves on the Arlington County Retirement Board, among other efforts that provide invaluable service to Arlington and surrounding communities.
