Arlington, VA — Bean, Kinney & Korman announced today that firm shareholder Timothy Hughes will serve as chair-elect of the Arlington Chamber of Commerce in 2013. He will begin his term as chair in 2014. Tim has served on the Arlington Chamber’s Board of Directors since 2007 and as assistant treasurer on the executive committee last year.

Tim represents clients in construction and commercial litigation, as well as corporate, contracts and general business matters. He has been recognized as a Leader in the Law by Virginia Lawyers Weekly and named a member of the Legal Elite for Construction Law by Virginia Business Magazine. Tim has also been named a Best Lawyer in America in the areas of Litigation – Construction and Construction Law.
Active in the Arlington and Northern Virginia community, Tim currently serves as a board member of Leadership Arlington, the Reston Chamber of Commerce, the Northern Virginia Building Industry Association and Phoenix House of the Mid-Atlantic. He regularly speaks to groups on business, litigation, social media and construction-related topics and serves as a guest blogger on the Washington Business Journal’s “Biz Beat” blog.
