In recent years, our ownership group and firm leadership have taken significant steps to elevate our focus on DEI, underscoring our long-standing commitment to these principles. We acknowledge, however, that this is an ongoing journey, and we are continuously working to improve and expand our efforts in this crucial area. Beyond merely recruiting and retaining diverse talent, we are actively engaged in initiatives that promote DEI in the broader community. Our attorneys have taken on leadership roles in organizations such as the Old Dominion Bar Association, the Diversity Conference of the Virginia State Bar, the Virginia Women Attorney’s Association, and the DMV Diversity and Inclusion Institute, where one of our attorneys was a fellow in the inaugural class. These roles allow us to contribute to and influence the broader conversation around diversity in the legal profession.

We also recognize the importance of creating opportunities for underrepresented groups through initiatives like our paid internships for disadvantaged high school students. By providing these opportunities, we are not only supporting equity but also investing in the future of the legal profession.
